BPIE supported a number of Polish organisations in the development of the report Buildings modernisation strategy: Roadmap 2050, notably in economic modelling of the long term impacts and quantification of costs and benefits. The report characterises the current market for building renovation, identifies the challenges in moving towards deep renovation and considers financing mechanisms that can help achieve the potential. Proposals on how barriers to renovation can be removed are also described.
