Lukáš Dravecký

As Policy Intern at BPIE, Lukáš will monitor and report on European legislation, assist with drafting documents for meetings with our partners, and contribute to other BPIE activities with a focus on the Brussels community.

As a recent graduate from the College of Europe, Lukáš has a track record as an intern in various public institutions and non-governmental organisations in the field of politics, international relations, and foreign trade. As an intern in the Slovak National Council, Lukáš worked on various dossiers considering the rule of law, social, and gender issues. His experience in the public sector was later enhanced by the traineeships at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia and at the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency. Lukáš got in touch also with EU politics while working as a Political and Media Trainee at the Representation of the European Commission in Slovakia. Lukáš gained some experience also in the non-governmental sector in New York City where he worked as a Policy Assistant in the Korea Society – an NGO supporting economic, political, and cultural awareness about the Korean Peninsula among the American public.

Lukáš holds a BA in International Relations from Matej Bel University, Slovakia, and MA degrees in International Relations from Central European University located in Budapest and Vienna, and European Political and Governance Studies from College of Europe in Brugge where he specialised in EU digital policies, energy governance, renewable energy, and climate change.

When Lukáš is not working, he can be found reading, playing the guitar, listening to music, dancing Latino, cheering during a football match, or talking politics, history, and culture over a glass of wine or Belgian beer with his friends.
