Digital building logbooks for an affordable and sustainable built environment

After four years of developing and demonstrating five different Digital Building Logbooks (DBLs) across Europe, the Demo-BLog project is bringing its work to a close with a final conference focused on the future of digital building data

The event will bring together construction sector stakeholders, DBL providers, policymakers and experts working on the digitalisation of the buildings and construction sector. Together, we will reflect on the project’s main results and lessons learnt, and explore what Digital Building Logbooks need to deliver in the future.

The conference will explore how DBLs can:

  • Improve productivity across the construction and building sectors
  • Support effective policy implementation through better access to building data
  • Enable better lifecycle management of buildings and materials
  • Support the better use of existing buildings and resources
  • Contribute to a more affordable and sustainable built environment

The event will also look ahead to the role DBLs can play in Europe’s building transition, and what is needed to make them useful, accessible and effective tools for managing the buildings of today and tomorrow.

Join us in Luxembourg to exchange experiences, discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead, and explore how better building data can support a more sustainable and affordable built environment.

About the project

Demo-BLog is a four-year Horizon Europe funded project bringing together and further developing Digital Buildings Logbooks in Europe. The 13-partner consortium is working to increase transparency and access to information in the European energy efficiency and sustainable building market through the development of a common digital data repository. Demo-BLog aims to demonstrate capturing, integrating and storing building data, as well as converting this data into actionable information for relevant stakeholders across the construction market value chain.
