[Webinar] Municipal Renovation Strategy – A Key Tool for Local Authorities to modernize their Buildings Stock, towards Sustainability and Energy Transition

On October 28, an online conference hosted by the EUKI project Our Buildings together with Energy Efficiency Watch will put Local Authorities in the spotlight of climate action in buildings.

28th October, 09:00-12:00 (CET+1)
On Zoom: (link to be sent upon registration)

The current pandemic is changing how we live having visible effects on the environment. Actions taken to suppress the spread of the virus have revealed that in case of emergency, important measures can be adopted and energy experts are urging Local Authorities to apply the same momentum for reaching climate neutrality.

The Renovation Wave will have a huge impact on cities. The European Commission aims to double the renovation rates in the next ten years making sure renovations lead to higher energy and resource efficiency. This initiative and the pandemic context represent an unprecedented opportunity to re-think the local ‘business as usual’ scenarios, for harmonising the renovation municipal strategies with the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans, for reconsidering the sustainability of our local communities.

This is an invitation from Energy Efficiency Watch & OUR BUILDINGS to learn more about:

  • Which are the first nZEB Renovation Passports at local level, in Romania?
  • How do we make sure renovations and investments continue despite the pandemic?
  • What changes in procedures are necessary to overcome existent barriers?
  • Are municipalities and local decision makers able to adapt to this new situation?
  • What message the EU, National Authorities and Local Authorities should send?

Please register before October 26, 2020. The event will have simultaneous translation.
