[Article] BPIE’s contribution to the German Yearbook “Energy efficiency in Buildings 2017”

How smart-ready are Germany’s buildings today?

Germany has set out to decarbonize its energy system by 2050 and smart buildings can play a key supporting role in this “Energiewende”. That is the central finding in BPIE’s contribution to the yearbook “Energieeffizienz in Gebäuden 2017”. Moreover, based on the earlier report “Is Europe ready for the smart buildings revolution?”, the paper shows how smart-ready Germany’s buildings are today. It compares the German situation with other European Member States, and, finally, analyzes which levers could be used to increase the smart readiness. This article is only available in German.

The complete yearbook „Energieeffizienz in Gebäuden 2017“ is available online.
