Capacity building materials and training tools for improving energy efficiency in multi-family apartment buildings

Resources for trainers, facilitators and consultants who will implement training and workshops for stakeholders in the residential energy efficiency sector in Bulgaria, Hungary and Lithuania

Capacity building to address energy efficiency of multi-family apartment buildings (MFAB) is comprised of awareness raising alongside developing knowledge, practical skills and communication capabilities to implement energy saving measures. The topic of energy efficiency of MFABs has its own specificities compared to other types of dwellings, so the joint approach of all stakeholders is crucial to improve and implement energy measures and to reduce energy poverty.

Capacity building materials and training techniques are essential to empower homeowners, companies and other stakeholders in the energy efficiency renovation of MFABs to act together and create strong and resilient communities. These training techniques and tools aim to provide sufficient skills, knowledge and attitudes to combat energy poverty and increase energy efficient retrofits of MFABs, and techniques can range from simple behavioural changes to more complex technological interventions that improve energy efficiency.

This publication has been developed to support any trainers, facilitators and consultants who will implement training and workshops for stakeholders in the residential energy efficiency sector. Stakeholders can include but are not limited to homeowners, Homeowner Associations, construction and building management companies and Resource Center employees.
