Ciarán is an architect and urban planner as well as a Former Member of the European Parliament for Dublin 2019-2024, Outgoing President of EUFORES European Forum for Renewable Energy Sources, a cross-party parliamentary network.

Ciarán has been working for a greener Dublin for over 30 years: as a Councilor for the North Inner City, as TD for Dún Laoghaire, as Minister of State with responsibility for climate change, and most recently as Dublin’s Green MEP.

His campaign for better, greener transport for all continued as the lead Green MEP on the European Parliament’s Transport & Tourism committee (TRAN). He was proud to vote alongside his political group, the Greens/EFA – a progressive force fighting for a fairer, greener future for Europe.
