Hermine Sprenger

As a Research Assistant in the Berlin Office, Hermine supports ongoing research activities, contributes to event preparation, and assists in various projects. Her work is closely connected to themes of affordable and sustainable housing as well as the social dimensions of urban life.

This role marks her first professional position beyond several internships completed during her studies. Her academic background lies in urban systems and the relationships between the built environment and society, an interest that continues to guide her work.

Hermine holds a B.Sc. in Urban Studies from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Historic Urban Studies at TU Berlin. As part of her studies, she spent a semester abroad at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) through the Promos programme. She also completed an internship at the Universidad de San Martín in the Centro de Investigación sobre Territorio, Transporte y Ambiente (CITTA), Escuela de Hábitat y Sostenibilidad (EHyS, UNSAM). In addition, she gained practical experience at the urban planning office Büro für urbane Projekte.

In her spare time, Hermine enjoys traveling and cooking, especially exploring the culinary traditions of different places as a way of understanding their cultures. She also has a long-standing passion for music, having received twelve years of classical vocal training.
