Jules Oriol is joining the BPIE Berlin Office in May 2023 as Project Manager. Previously, he was a senior project manager at the German-French Office for Energy Transition (DFBEW/OFATE), an information and networking platform that shares best practices in the field of renewable energies.

For three years he worked on aspects related to energy efficiency and renewable heat in the building sector in both countries. He designed conferences and published papers on various issues, including the financing of energy efficiency, the development of low-carbon districts, the retrofitting of heritage buildings and the green value of buildings. Before that, he worked for a French think tank dedicated to urban planning and transitions, where he contributed to projects on sustainable urban logistics.

Jules holds a M.A. in Political Science and Public Affairs. He studied both in Paris (Sciences Po) and in Berlin (Freie Universität), focusing on European policies and political economy. In his spare time, Jules enjoys painting, designing ceramics and playing the saxophone.
